GENERAL MANAGER - Catering Division

Position: GENERAL MANAGER – Catering Division To manage the company’s contract catering, kitchen equipment and wholesale operations to private and government sectors. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years senior management experience, exposure to sales, marketing and tendering for different types of contracts. Public relations with clients are an essential function as well as experience in a broad range of food and beverage operations; this should include quality assurance and the management of a multi-racial workforce. Job Description:

1. Mature professional with previous experience in the contract catering industry.
2. Minimum of 4 years in a senior management position.
3. Sales and marketing experience.
4. Tendering for different types of catering contracts.
5. Knowledge of food and beverage operations for special functions.
6. Experience in dealing with clients from different industrial sectors.
7. Ability to manage a workforce of 200+ employees of different nationalities.
8. Experience with quality assurance of food service operations.
9. Ability to identify sales opportunities, and monitor such progress.
10. Financially smart from an accounting perspective and operationally.
11. Ability to identify alternative sources of supply and products.
12. To operate effectively in a competitive environment.
13. Knowledge of food hygiene procedures.
14. The ability to interpret accounts and balance sheets.
15. Possess experience with developing kitchen designs.
16. Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment.
17. Experience in wholesale/retail sales of food and non-food products.
18. Arabic and English speaking would be a distinct advantage.
