Position: GENERAL MANAGER – Catering Division To manage the company’s contract catering, kitchen equipment and wholesale operations to private and government sectors. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years senior management experience, exposure to sales, marketing and tendering for different types of contracts. Public relations with clients are an essential function as well as experience in a broad range of food and beverage operations; this should include quality assurance and the management of a multi-racial workforce. Job Description:
- Mature professional with previous experience in the contract catering industry.
- Minimum of 4 years in a senior management position.
- Sales and marketing experience.
- Tendering for different types of catering contracts.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations for special functions.
- Experience in dealing with clients from different industrial sectors.
- Ability to manage a workforce of 200+ employees of different nationalities.
- Experience with quality assurance of food service operations.
- Ability to identify sales opportunities, and monitor such progress.
- Financially smart from an accounting perspective and operationally.
- Ability to identify alternative sources of supply and products.
- To operate effectively in a competitive environment.
- Knowledge of food hygiene procedures.
- The ability to interpret accounts and balance sheets.
- Possess experience with developing kitchen designs.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Experience in wholesale/retail sales of food and non-food products.
- Arabic and English speaking would be a distinct advantage.
