The Opportunity Due to internal restructuring, Cleanaway has multiple opportunities available for experienced Workshop Supervisors across Western Australia (e.g., Karratha, Mandurah, Perth Metro). The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of all fleet/equipment maintenance, specifically overseeing the daily supervision of the vehicles and employees involved in the workshop. The position will achieve agreed objectives concerning operating efficiencies, productivity, equipment acquisition, and maintenance while ensuring that costs are controlled within the set budget levels.
- Lead the workshop and equipment functions through both internal resources and outsourced subcontractors to ensure appropriate systems and resources are in place to deliver reliable cost-effective services.
- Upgrade the standard of equipment through the development of medium to long-term fleet plans.
- Implement systems that ensure all Company property, equipment, and machinery are kept to the standard needed for safe and efficient operation, and that only qualified and authorised persons are carrying out installation, repairs, maintenance, servicing, or modifications.
- Arrange registration and third-party insurance for all Company vehicles.
- Provide administrative control by overseeing the JDE purchasing function for workshop activities.
- Monitor and contribute to fleet and equipment compliance with Cleanaway standards.
- Experience in leading and supervising fleet or equipment workshops.
- Strong track record in safety leadership and performance.
- Experience within the waste management or transport industry, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work within budgetary guidelines.
- Background in heavy vehicle maintenance.
- HR or HC licence essential.
- Frontline Leadership qualification, desirable.
