About the Company Are you an experienced Chief People Officer (CPO) / Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) looking for your next challenge? A privately owned advertising company in Sydney’s CBD is seeking a hands-on, strategic, and people-focused leader to join their executive team on an interim basis, with the potential for permanency. About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for leading the People & Culture function, shaping the company’s HR strategy, and driving initiatives that foster a high-performing and engaged workforce. This role requires someone who can balance big-picture strategy with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, creative environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead organisational development, talent management, and leadership coaching initiatives
- Oversee HR operations, including performance management, workforce planning, and employee engagement
- Partner with senior leaders to drive cultural transformation and change management
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices in HR and workplace relations
- Proven experience as a CPO, CHRO, or senior HR leader, ideally within creative, media, or fast-paced environments
- Ability to shape and implement HR strategy while rolling up your sleeves to get things done
- Strong track record in culture transformation, leadership development, and talent strategy
- Experience working closely with CEOs and senior stakeholders in growth-oriented businesses
- A people-first approach with exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Interim role with a strong potential for permanency
