About Us: Our client has been a leader in air handling, heating, cooling, and acoustics for 100 years. The Role: We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of both their Manufacturing business (the majority of the role) but also the groups Property portfolio. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and senior management team, driving financial strategy, efficiency, and decision-making. From day-to-day accounting to strategic planning, ERP system improvements, and contract management – no two days will be the same. You'll have a direct report who will take care of the administration, invoicing, accounts payable and receivables. This role is part of the Management team. Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management: Lead accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and audits for both businesses.
- ERP Systems: Drive improvements and ensure seamless integration with financial systems.
- Contracts: Review and advise on contracts, ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Property Management: Oversee financials for their property portfolio, optimizing tenant relations and site management.
- Collaboration: Partner with the MD on strategic decisions and contribute to management team discussions.
- Proven experience in finance/accounting, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems and payroll processing.
- Contract review skills with a focus on financial risk.
- A proactive, solution-driven attitude and excellent communication skills.
