ARCHITECT

The key principles of the role are the preparation and execution of Architectural Designs under the direction of the Manager or the Senior Architect and in accordance with BAC procedures to meet and exceed client expectations whilst working within a multi-disciplined team and maintaining customer relationships. The role also requires the supervision of architecturally focused construction works and the ability to manage small/medium projects where the focus is primarily architecture or building oriented.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Responsible for the success and execution of architectural designs assigned by the MD&S or M (D&S) or Senior Architect and any further assigned technical projects.
2. Carry out architectural analysis, design and detailing of architectural components of building works.
3. Establish a plan/programme on design works, define related objectives and follow up on design work through effective supervision on site during execution.
4. Support the M(D&S) or Senior Architect in the supervision of construction contractors to ensure that infrastructure works are constructed in accordance with the designs.
5. Assist the M(D&S) or Senior Architect in the review and comment on third party architectural proposals including designs and shop drawings.
6. Assist the M(D&S) or Senior Architect in coordinating with other designers, including other architects, geotechnical and MEP engineers, to investigate all conditions affecting architectural design and to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction.
7. Capture and share learning in order to benefit future developments across the Group.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree BSc/BEng in Architecture. CEng, MICE, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Architecture.
