Head of Maintenance

Job Summary:- We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Head with 20+ years of expertise in the Automotive Seating industry to oversee the plant’s maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of machinery, utilities, and equipment while driving efficiency, reducing downtime, and implementing world-class maintenance practices. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on technical expertise in automotive manufacturing environments, particularly in the seating or related component industry. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance Strategy & Operations:

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all production machinery, utilities, and facilities.
• Must have experience with Utility maintenance, Plant maintenance, Machine Maintenance.
• Ensure minimal downtime by proactively identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
• Optimize maintenance schedules to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and technical excellence within the team.
• Conduct training programs to enhance the technical skills of the maintenance workforce.

• Ensure the maintenance and efficient operation of equipment used in foam molding, seat assembly, welding, robotics, and fabric cutting.
• Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve overall efficiency.
• Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to support new product development and process optimization.

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives to enhance sustainability and cost efficiency.

• Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality maintenance support.
• Oversee AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) for critical equipment.

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related field).
• 20+ years of experience in maintenance management within the automotive seating or component manufacturing industry. Experience of handling multiple plants preferred.
• Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, welding, foam molding, and conveyor systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking maintenance activities.
• Experience in root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode analysis (FMEA), and problem-solving techniques.
