Employers in Canada are recruiting Medical Radiation Technologists/X-ray technicians through Canada's Provincial nominee program which may lead to Canada's Permanent Residency. Job Description:
- Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, computerized tomography (CT) scanners and mammography units to produce radiographs or anatomic images of the human body for the diagnosis by radiologists of disease or injury.
- Record and process patient data.
- Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment.
- Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the radiographic examination.
- Explain procedures, position patient and equipment and apply radiation protection measures.
- May train and supervise student radiographers or supervise other radiological technologists.
- At least 4 years of work experience is required.
- Must be licensed in the country of current practice.
- CAMRT approval letter is an advantage but not an upfront requirement; it will be required at a later stage.
- Requirement for English exam scores will depend on the number of years of work experience you already have to satisfy the points of the provincial nominee program.
- Have you applied to CAMRT (Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists) for the pre-assessment process?
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- Radiography technologist: 4 years (Preferred)
- Tagalog (Required)
- License to practice your occupation? (Preferred)
