Advanced Smelting Industries Co. (ASIC) , which is equally owned by Tasnee. An exciting opportunity is available in Slagger Company for Technician, Furnace Mechanical based in Jizan. About the role: To perform/determine maintenance activities on company assets. The role holder works under supervision and is authorized to conduct an initial review and to sign off on completed tasks using the related IT system. Assist the technicians at Stage A to facilitate completion of tasks as defined by quality and HSE standards. You will be responsible for:

  1. Create and maintain a working environment for people to achieve excellence.
  2. Approach all aspects of the work with safety as the highest priority.
  3. Escalate issues to the superior for work that does not appear valid or is costly.
  4. Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish it, consulting with applicable Supervisors, Production Supervisors, Planner/Scheduler, and Stores as necessary.
  5. Monitor and commission plants and systems.
  6. Continuously improve job estimates, planning, and scheduling by receiving feedback from maintenance supervisors, production supervisors, engineers, and production planners.
  7. Manage a backlog of work orders requiring a major or significant portion of the facility to be shut down.
  8. Troubleshoot including overhauling pumps, gearboxes, fans, conveyor belts, screw feeders, valves, and heat exchangers.
  9. Provide job estimates based on craft or skills required, sequence required, and number required.
  10. Discuss and solve complex problems with production departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
  11. Have good experience in conveyor belt maintenance and tracking the conveyor in case of misalignment.
  12. Demonstrated ability to remove and install bearings, shafts, and seals.
  13. Verify that all materials, information, tools, and labor are available prior to commencement of work.
  14. Demonstrated ability to read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work orders.
  15. Have good experience in assembly and dismantling bearings and their lubrication.
  16. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to facilitate proper operating conditions of assets and adherence to defined industrial standards.
  17. Maintain inventory of non-stock and selected items required to ensure continued operability of equipment.
  18. Perform diagnostic procedures on plant equipment to identify causes and determine needed repairs, conducting complex maintenance tasks/repairs on assigned assets in a specific discipline.
  19. Receive regular attention and direction from the supervisor on required duties and priorities, consulting senior colleagues about the acquisition of spare parts, materials, and consumables in line with delegation of authority.
  20. Provide prompt response to on-call requests within the guidelines and standards of maintenance to ensure timely and effective uptime.
  21. Report any deficiencies on equipment through proper communication channels.
  22. Ability to use measurement tools and equipment.
  23. Regularly contribute towards the training of various trainees in the department to ensure the availability of competent technicians in the future.
  24. Good knowledge of dealing with lubrication systems and able to change oil and filters properly.
Minimum Qualification: Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience or more in a manufacturing environment. Required Skills:
  1. Excellent analytical skills.
  2. Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
  3. Ability to troubleshoot including overhauling pumps, gearboxes, fans, conveyor belts, screw feeders, valves, and heat exchangers.
  4. Demonstrated ability to remove and install bearings, shafts, and seals.
  5. Ability to align motors and pumps, gearboxes, fans, and pulleys.
  6. Ability to align conveyor belts.
  7. Good organizational and planning skills.
  8. Demonstrated ability to read and understand accurate instructions of PMs and corrective work orders.
  9. Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings.
  10. Demonstrated ability to use measurement tools and equipment.
  11. Knowledge of maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning, scheduling, and storeroom processes.
  12. Qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician.
  13. Extensive experience in workshop activity.
  14. SAP proficiency.
  15. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
