Job Summary The incumbent is primarily responsible for assisting the day-to-day operations of the Projects department for all planned, ongoing, and ad hoc projects. The incumbent will also assist in rolling out and championing the overall project management methodology, processes, and tools to manage projects. Support in the preparation of management information reports on all planned and ongoing projects. Main Responsibilities
  • Shareholder & Financial:
  • Seek ways to maximize revenue through better PMO practices and data-driven insights. Manage and achieve revenue goals set for projects.
  • Implement KPI’s and best practices for Senior Associate IT Project Management.
  • Promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimize cost and optimize benefits for the bank.
  • Customer (Internal & External):
  • Maintain relations with the project recipient for progress reporting and project evaluation.
  • Assist project managers in all project-related matters (collection of data, liaison with project managers, preparation of relevant material and information).
  • Assist in preparing training material and rolling out the training on the project management methodology.
  • Conduct training for Project Managers on the usage of Project Management tools.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as required.
  • Assist customers with queries on the Bank’s products.
  • Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
  • Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
  • Prepare and publish reports against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and track IT projects.
  • Assist in the maintenance of an inventory of projects and CAPEX spend, including all related documentation.
  • Participate in relevant project/team meetings as required.
  • Coordinate between various departments within IT to ensure project progress.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors and peers.
  • Report project progress and problems to management on a timely basis.
  • Learning & Knowledge:
  • Possess a basic understanding of Project Management theory and practice.
  • Identify areas for professional development and undertake development activities.
  • Seek opportunities to remain current with developments in the professional field.
  • Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Understand and perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle.
  • Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
  • Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank.
  • Other:
  • Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation.
  • All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB as requested by management.
Education And Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or MIS.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
