The primary purpose of the role is to support the wider built environment security consulting practice by bringing urban planning and design experience to bear in servicing our clients and their development projects. Additionally, the role is to support graphical design in the production of high-quality deliverables for clients across the Crisis and Security Consulting - Middle East team. The successful applicant will be a part of our Middle East team, supporting clients in Saudi Arabia and across the region as part of our broader EMEA team of over 100 crisis and security consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide graphical design support in the production of high-quality deliverable reports and presentations for various clients across the Crisis and Security Consulting range of services.
  • Bring urban planning and design experience and skills to bear in the development of security strategies and solutions within real estate and infrastructure development projects.
  • Undertake fee-earning consultancy, including but not limited to built environment security, urban planning and design, landscape architectural design, and architectural building and design for security, benchmarking and maturity assessments, and risk workshops.
  • Client liaison, as a trusted advisor for Control Risks in order to develop client relationships across the full breadth of capabilities.
  • Ensure requests from clients and prospects are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
  • Support proposal creation and deliverable report production in software applications including MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Provide accurate information on service delivery activity to managers.
  • Support operational planning and management of engagements, including production of operational and document-based deliverables in compliance with Control Risks policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Adopt innovative approaches to the development of current practices and new solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver consulting services, adhering to quality standards, and supporting business growth.
  • Understanding of Control Risks capabilities and client outcomes.
  • Experience in supporting or delivering consultancy-based engagements.
  • Basic understanding of project budgeting and capture, project management, and project closure processes.
  • Exposure to, or delivery of, high-quality graphical deliverable reports, documents, and models.
  • Interest in security risk (site/project/supply-chain/business) and improving built environment security and business continuity planning and management.
  • Proven ability to work in Adobe InDesign, and produce both 2D and 3D imagery and models in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp.
  • Familiarity and experience working with BIM 360 and other document management systems including Oracle Aconex.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent use of MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Visio, and other similar applications.
  • Excellent presentation skills with an interest and ability to participate in client engagement.
  • Ability to liaise with and build successful client relationships.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate large quantities of new information.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced qualification in urban planning, urban design, architecture, graphic design, or engineering.
