Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail Qatar Entertainment City Doha Plot No. LED-ENT/01 An Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for assisting in the management and administration of all financial operations within the hotel. This role plays a key part in ensuring the hotel delivers exceptional guest service while maintaining financial profitability. What will I be doing? As Assistant Director of Finance, you will ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and creditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the Finance department. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Supporting the Director of Finance in overseeing financial activities, contributing to financial planning and reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and standards
Assisting with accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Supporting capital reviews as required by hotel management
Training and developing the Finance team and fostering succession planning
Promoting financial awareness among local management
Reviewing account reconciliations and ensuring accurate month-end financial records
Analyzing performance against budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing finance projects
Overseeing payroll, capital expenditures, inventory, and fixed asset management
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements

What are we looking for? An Assistant Director of Finance serving Hilton Brand is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Relevant and progressive work experience in Accounting or Finance
Excellent supervisory experience
Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
Strong influencing, leadership skills, inter-personal and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Bachelor's degree from an academic institution in a related field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting or Commerce.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience with the Hilton systems
Previous experience in the Account/Finance Management
