A leading physical dry bulk trading firm is seeking a Risk & Middle Office Manager to oversee day-to-day trading operations, risk management, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO , this role is critical in ensuring trading activities remain within controlled risk parameters while safeguarding against unauthorized trading, fraud, or excessive exposure. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily trading activities across both physical and financial (paper/derivatives) markets .
- Control and analyze the trading book , ensuring adherence to risk limits and company policies.
- Manage Value at Risk (VaR), position limits, P&L reporting, and exposure tracking .
- Implement and enforce trader oversight controls to detect and prevent unauthorized trading activity.
- Ensure alignment with audit, regulatory, and compliance standards .
- Work closely with traders, finance, and operations teams to enhance risk frameworks and trading processes.
- Lead internal investigations related to trading discrepancies or anomalies .
- Improve risk systems, data analytics, and reporting for enhanced decision-making.
