Role Overview:
A Christian Ministry in Lagos is looking to hire a Head of Content. The Head of Content will be responsible for overseeing content creation, and brand consistency across all communication channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of faith-based communications. This role leans heavily toward video content strategy and execution, requiring expertise in film-making, video production, editing, and digital storytelling to enhance engagement, outreach, and overall awareness.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in video content creation, media production, and digital storytelling, preferably in a church, faith-based organization, or media/creative industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing a content or video production team.
- Proven experience developing, executing, and managing video content strategies across multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, website, and live streaming services).
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communication, Digital Marketing, Broadcasting, Journalism, or a related field.
- Certifications in Video Production, Digital Storytelling, Content Marketing, or Social Media Strategy.
- Hands-on experience with video editing software (like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and others).
- Proficiency in filming techniques, camera operations, lighting, and sound design.
- Knowledge of live-streaming tools and platforms like OBS, vMix, Restream, or Church Online Platform.
- Proficiency in motion graphics and animation (After Effects knowledge is a plus).
- Strong understanding of YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook video algorithms.
- Ability to repurpose sermon clips, event highlights, and long-form content into bite-sized videos for maximum impact.
