Roles and Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development
  • Lead Generation : Identifying and targeting new business opportunities, including potential clients, markets, and verticals.
  • Sales Strategy : Developing and implementing strategies to drive product or service sales, which includes forecasting, pipeline management, and goal-setting.
  • Sales Presentations & Demos : Delivering engaging and impactful technical product presentations, often through product demos or tailored solutions, to showcase value to potential clients.
  • Closing Sales : Negotiating deals, overcoming objections, and closing sales while ensuring that terms are favorable to both the company and the client.
  • Cross-Selling & Upselling : Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional products or services that could enhance the client’s experience or solve more of their challenges.
2. Technical Knowledge & Product Expertise
  • Product Knowledge : Deep understanding of the company’s products or services, including their technical features, benefits, and how they solve client challenges.
  • Customization & Solutions Selling : Being able to customize the product offering to meet the specific needs of a client. This could involve adjusting technical features or providing configuration options that best suit the client’s requirements.
  • Technical Troubleshooting : Assisting clients with resolving any technical challenges or concerns they may have, especially during the sales process.
  • Industry Expertise : A thorough understanding of the industry you’re selling into (e.g., technology, manufacturing, healthcare), as well as common pain points and emerging trends.
3. Customer Relationship Management
  • Building Relationships : Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers to ensure trust and credibility.
  • Customer Success : Ensuring that customers are satisfied with the products or services, addressing any issues they face, and helping to ensure the product continues to meet their needs over time.
  • Post-Sales Support : Collaborating with customer support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and customer onboarding, and providing ongoing assistance post-sale to ensure retention.
  • Account Management : Managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term value, and seeking opportunities for continued collaboration or future sales.
4. Collaboration & Teamwork
  • Internal Collaboration : Working closely with other departments, including engineering, product management, and marketing teams, to ensure customer requirements are met and to provide technical feedback on product offerings.
  • Sales Team Support : Supporting and mentoring other members of the sales team by providing technical expertise, sharing insights, and collaborating on complex sales opportunities.
  • Customer Feedback : Gathering and communicating client feedback to help guide product development and improve offerings.
5. Project & Account Management
  • Sales Pipeline Management : Managing the sales pipeline from initial lead generation through to closing, ensuring a steady flow of sales opportunities.
  • Project Coordination : Overseeing the technical aspects of client onboarding, including coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth product deployment.
  • Contract Negotiations : Leading negotiations with clients to agree on terms, pricing, and contract details while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile

This is a vital role to identify and drive new business opportunities, setting up strong meetings and building sale pipelines to develop the brand further in the market. The Technical Sales Manager will generate new leads, conduct market research, build strong client relationships, and deliver proposals and tailored pitches to clients. The Technical Sales Manager will have in-depth expertise in at least one Audio Visual discipline (Audio, Lighting & Power, Video, or Integrated Networks) and must have experience in Live Events or Mega Events.
