About the Role The Head of Operations Excellence will be responsible for leading and driving operational improvements across the organization's water and wastewater treatment facilities, including reverse osmosis (RO) operations at METICHEM. This role focuses on enhancing process efficiency, implementing innovative practices, and ensuring sustainable and compliant operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational leadership within the water industry and a passion for delivering excellence in performance, safety, and environmental stewardship. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an O&M Excellence strategy aligned with long-term goals, industry trends, and best practices. Establish KPIs to drive performance and integrate advanced technologies for continuous improvement.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize water and wastewater treatment operations, focusing on RO systems and resource utilization. Implement cost-saving initiatives, enhance energy efficiency, and extend equipment lifecycle through strategic asset management.
Process Improvement: Conduct operational assessments, identify inefficiencies, and create targeted improvement plans. Perform root cause analyses to enhance system reliability and ensure regulatory compliance.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with sales and project teams to develop data-driven customer proposals that align with organizational capabilities and client needs.
Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting sustainable practices such as water reuse and energy efficiency. Foster a strong safety culture.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams, fostering accountability and innovation. Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Represent the organization at industry events and advocate for operational excellence in the water sector.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
20+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment operations, with significant experience in reverse osmosis systems.
Proven expertise in operational excellence frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Strong leadership and project management skills with a track record of driving change.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Expertise in advanced water treatment technologies.
Proficiency in operational data analysis and performance metrics.
Ability to lead and inspire diverse teams.
Strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Preferred Certifications:

Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
Certified Water Professional (CWP) or similar industry certifications.
