About the Role: Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking a highly skilled Senior Executive Vice President for Operations to lead our administrative team. This key leadership position involves providing strategic guidance to the President on university-wide initiatives and proposing recommendations for improvement. Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Advice : Provide expert advice to the President on university-wide initiatives, driving growth and excellence. Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Departmental Oversight : Supervise staff activities in administrative departments, ensuring seamless operations and effective resource allocation. Oversee various departments including finance, human resources, IT, and facilities and purchasing.
  • Process Improvement : Streamline administrative processes, facilitating efficient accomplishment and securing required approvals. Collaborate with the development team to create and implement academic strategic plans.
  • Financial Management : Oversee all financial matters, including collections, budgets, and expenditures. Ensure compliance with regulations and optimal resource allocation.
  • Campus Maintenance : Manage buildings, grounds, repairs, construction, and remodeling projects to maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Purchasing and Procurement : Supervise purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimal resource allocation.
  • Staff Management : Directly manage staff salaries, benefits, visas, housing, and government personnel regulations, ensuring fairness and adherence to policies.
  • Personnel Operations : Oversee recruitment, contracting, termination, training, development, and induction programs for administrative staff, as well as disciplinary actions.
  • Reporting : Prepare and submit annual reports on administrative and financial operations to the president.
Requirements:
  • A recognized Ph.D. from a reputable institution aligned with Article 39 of the HEC Resolution No. 206/2023.
  • Suitable academic and administrative experience with a strong professional reputation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior executives and stakeholders to drive business growth and improvement.
