Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, Design and deploy security solutions to enhance Copart’s network security.
• Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and become a subject matter expert in the technology.
• Work with cross functional teams across Copart to plan, build and deliver a robust security solution.
• Review existing network and security controls in place, identify gaps and provide guidance on remediating them.
• Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards which adhere to industry best practices.
• Draft and Maintain extensive documentation as it relates to projects.
• Engage in troubleshooting with end users to identify and resolve issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and advancements in network security technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in network security, Infrastructure Security or related roles.
• Strong understanding of network models (OSI, TCP/IP), network ports & protocols and network infrastructure.
• Experience working with Firewalls, VPN and IDS/IPS.
• Experience working with Secure Web Gateway, Cloud-based Proxy & Security Broker and VPN technologies and configuration.
• Network troubleshooting using inbuild network commands as well as external tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.
• Prior experience working with ZTNA / SASE products such as offered by Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, Perimeter81, Cisco etc.
• Experience working with various endpoint and server Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS and Android.
• Basic scripting knowledge in languages such as Python or PoweShell.
• Certification such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, etc.

• Understanding and knowledge of authentication systems such as AD, SSO, etc.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms related to Network Security (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Prior Security Engineering or similar experience.
