Responsibilities:
- Monitor production workers hygiene and cleanliness program.
- Conduct in-house training for workers on GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, BRC/FSSC22000 to achieve “Zero Defect”.
- Request the Certificate of Analysis (COA) / Product Specification for all incoming raw materials and packing materials from suppliers.
- Inspect the incoming raw materials/packing materials or in-process failures, product recall, issue NCR and follow up with the remedial measures that have been taken to prevent future happenings.
- Monitor the In-line Quality control at production’s processes.
- Ensure OPRP, CCP and Halal control points are within requirements.
- Maintain equipment for calibration and update calibration records as required.
- Coordinate samples for external lab analysis, monitor laboratory test analysis and monthly water test.
- Follow up on all standing customer complaints and customer feedback investigations reports with related departments.
- Organize all records on QC analysis and retention samples in good condition.
- Assist in quality and food safety audit programs (internal, external and third-party audits).
- Ensure all relevant procedures are updated and maintained accordingly.
- Comply with the company’s rules and regulations.
- Keep in close contact with regulatory updates in Malaysia related to food and prepare reports to update management on the impact to the organization.
- Carry out research on regulatory requirements for domestic and export countries when required.
- Perform any activity related to GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, BRC/FSSC22000 requirements (e.g., Hygiene & Safety audit, housekeeping audit, Glass Breakage audit, Swab test, ATP, Pest Control, Internal NCs, Quarantine Form, etc.).
- Initiate improvement on matters related to quality of raw materials, stock control vs gross production output including quality issues/evaluation & test analysis/specifications test / COA.
- Perform efficiency/quality improvement and Research & Development on current process flow and food system management.
- Perform any other job/function that may be assigned by the superior.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for QAQC operations.
Problem Solving:
- Address and resolve issues related to QAQC, Halal, Process quality (internally and/or externally).
- Identify and implement improvements to department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Foodtech, Nutrition, related field, with minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge/familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO22000, BRC/FSSC22000 or any quality management system and food safety management system.
- Knowledgeable or familiar with DOSH requirements.
- Familiar with Malaysia Halal and/or MUI-BPJPH will be an added advantage.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledgeable in Malaysia food regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
