Job Purpose In order to create best-in-class experiences for our customers, we are looking for a Senior UX Designer with experience delivering end-to-end UX products and services in Pakistan. This role will be based in our new offices in Pakistan. You should be a passionate and curious Design Specialist who can deliver high-quality designs and prototypes, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative and delivery-focused environment. You enjoy being hands-on throughout the design lifecycle and thrive leading UX workshops that focus on improving customer experiences. You can manage team and stakeholder relationships, and you are comfortable working within a distributed team environment. You will work closely with our other Senior UX Designers across our Tribes (based in the UAE and India) to ensure a consistent customer experience across our digital product suite. You will be guided by the business and UX priorities, and work with the UX team and Pakistan stakeholders to deliver to those priorities. Success for this role is defined by the quality of the customer experience, the consistency of deliverables, your ability to work successfully as a team, and the team’s contribution to the Business KPIs. Key Result Areas Day to day you will:
- Lead the delivery of the Experience Design for the Mashreq Pakistan product and service suite.
- Work with researchers to define and plan the customer research requirements for the Pakistan market, and help conduct research such as contextual inquiry, focus groups and user testing.
- Use the outcomes from research activities to drive design decisions and facilitate learnings across the Tribe designers, Product Owners and Engineers.
- Conduct UX and service design workshops and use the results to inform journey and design direction.
- Work with the Product Owners and Engineers to develop customer journeys, service blueprints, story maps, task flows, wireframes, prototypes and designs that will deliver against the customer and business needs, product vision and objectives.
- Create and iterate design concepts and prototypes for the digital product suite for Pakistan.
- Collaborate with other designers across our regions, tribes and squads to problem solve design challenges and maintain a level of design consistency across all our products.
- 8+ years in a senior UX role in a high-performing agile organisation.
- Confident leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
- Strong stakeholder management skills – ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Passionate about UX Design and driven by doing the right thing for customers and end-users.
- The ability to think at a strategic level about products and services, and liaise with Product Owners, Tribe Leads, Marketing Leads, and other key stakeholders.
- Workshop planning, design and facilitation, both in-person and remote.
- Knowledge of UX research methods and the ability to plan and conduct both qualitative and quantitative research.
- Communicating research insights through the creation of journey maps, personas or archetypes, service blueprints, wireframes and prototypes.
- Advocating for UX Design practices and processes.
- Knowledge of design systems, and with design tools such as Figma and Miro.
- Team player with a positive attitude who genuinely cares about working as part of a team and helping others.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English. Native Urdu speaker.
- Knowledge of Banking, Fintech or Investment is a bonus.
