PVNA e-drive , a subsidiary of PVNA Mechatronics Limited , is a leading innovator in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, dedicated to revolutionizing transportation through cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions. We are seeking a talented and experienced Traction Motor Designer lead to join our dynamic engineering team. Job Summary: The Traction Motor Design lead will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of traction motors for electric vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of electromagnetic design, mechanical integration, and thermal management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in motor design, with a focus on high performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop traction motors for electric vehicles, focusing on performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Perform electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical analysis to optimize motor performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of the motor into the vehicle system.
- Conduct prototype testing and validation, analyzing test data to refine designs.
- Utilize advanced simulation tools and software for motor design and analysis.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of design processes, specifications, and test results.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in motor design and electric vehicles.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in motor design, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for electric vehicle components.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools such as ANSYS, Maxwell, or similar.
- Experience with thermal management and cooling system design.
- Strong knowledge of motor control systems and power electronics.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO) for mechanical design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
