Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior Accountant with 3+ years of experience to join our finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and experience in financial reporting. This role requires collaboration with teams across time zones (IST & MST) and expertise in accounting principles, compliance, and process optimization. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and perform variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
- Assist in tax audits, statutory audits, and financial compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as per local and international accounting standards.
- Support budgeting, financial planning, and cost control activities.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for business decisions.
- Assist in financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Work closely with global finance teams and support intercompany reconciliations.
- Optimize accounting workflows and enhance internal controls.
- Ensure smooth coordination between finance, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Education: CA Inter/PCC/IPCC cleared.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles USGAAP and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) .
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and ability to work across time zones.
