Organization: Well Known Insurance Company in UAE. JOB PURPOSE: The job holder is responsible to make sure that all SAM clients have the right covers in place and also act as client relationship owner of allocated SAM accounts. This requires consistent involvement and engagements with various Organization's functions to assure the above is met. The role covers relationships with both external clients and internal resources. This position is dedicated to educate and enhance client relationships and increase awareness of Organization's product and service offerings, setting clear expectations for deliverables, and to deliver proactive client service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Contribution:

  • Understands internal capabilities and accordingly provide appropriate support to exceed client expectations;
  • Represents the clients’ needs and be their voice in all internal process improvement-related initiatives;
  • Understands clients’ business models, their overall goals, and their business needs and how Organization can be part of their solutions to be able to close any gaps in client’s insurance requirements;
  • Fosters a positive working relationship with assigned accounts;
  • Resolves client issues, proposing solutions; and escalating to the appropriate person to the point of resolution;
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure 100% customer satisfaction experience from services delivered to customer;
  • Works on SAM client policies to point out gaps in cover and remedy them by working with respective UW departments and SAM teams.
Policies and procedures:
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the policies, processes, procedures, controls and guidelines for the Strategic Account Management Department so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are fulfilled in accordance with global best practices within the insurance sector while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Day to Day Operations:
  • Assists with the continuous updates of Strategic Account Management guidelines, recommends and discusses product changes, while monitoring Strategic Client Portfolios.
  • Delivers on key action items that might be assigned by the EVP, as may be required.
  • Monitors and maintains internal department records for audit purposes.
Performance Management:
  • Assists the development of SMART Objectives, performance standards and objectives of the Strategic Account Management Department to ensure that business performance can be measured against such standards and objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Based on feedback received or analysis of trends and behaviors of clients, assist in directing the review of overall Strategic Account Management practices in order to improve delivery of client satisfaction.
  • Maintains understanding of competitors products in each market segment.
Reports:
  • Prepares periodical progress reports to keep management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision making.
  • Uses QlikView and other related reports.
  • Collaborates with IT on reporting functions that would support and tag SAM clients through existing systems.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages the effective achievement of unit / department objectives through setting individual and/or team objectives, managing performance, developing employees and providing formal and informal feedback in order to maximize overall performance and team motivation.
QUALIFICATIONS, RELEVANT CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • RELEVANT CERTIFICATIONS: Preferred Professional certifications:
  • Certificate in Insurance (CII), Associate or Diploma in Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip CII or ACII), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).
  • YEARS & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE: Requires 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Full Professional Proficiency in English and Arabic language.
