We are looking for an Electrical Site Supervisor to join Wärtsilä Brazil, on a commissioning project run by Wärtsilä SAM Electronics GmbH - one of the world's leading electrical system integrators in shipbuilding in Germany. This position is based in Itajaí/SC, Brazil and will be reporting to the Manager Construction Sites. Travel may be required. ** PLEASE SUBMIT RESUMES IN ENGLISH ** Main activities:
- Supervision of electrical installation services during the installation phase of cable plant and major equipment and setting to work.
- Technical supervision and monitoring the progress of installation and setting to work activities.
- Assistance with project-related processes, specifications, and initiation of quality assurance measures.
- Assistance for the respective quality assurance.
- Assistance during handover of the electrical installation area or system to class and customer.
- Clarification of open issues with W-SAM engineering and sub-supplier.
- Support for engineering for installation-related questions.
- Ensure reporting to the sub-supplier team, Site Supervision Manager, and project manager.
- Recognize and mitigate risks in the installation area or system (HSE, technical, and commercial).
- Support sub-supplier to recognize, report, and track additional costs.
- Support sub-supplier to coordinate the respective subcontractors on board and their electrical tasks, resources, and due dates.
- Assist sub-supplier in work preparation of the respective installation tasks.
- Technical course in Electrical.
- CFT register.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Experience working as a field electrical professional.
- Experience in reading and following technical (standard) documents.
- Experience in commissioning is a plus.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
