Role Objective: Be at the forefront of live entertainment as the talented and driven Booking Manager for the newly constructed Waikato Regional Theatre. In this exciting role, you will source and secure the best performing arts-based content for the theatre and other Live Nation New Zealand venues including Spark Arena. Working closely with the Head of Bookings and Content, you will manage the content diary, oversee venue bookings, and foster strong relationships with event promoters and hirers. This is your chance to shape the programming for one of New Zealand’s most anticipated cultural venues. Key Responsibilities:
- Content Programming: Source and secure a variety of commercial content tailored to the venue's audience.
- Diary Management: Coordinate and maintain the venue bookings diary with accuracy and timeliness.
- System Champion: Lead the adoption and optimisation of the Elite booking system, ensuring staff training and system updates.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with event promoters and hirers, ensuring exceptional service throughout.
- Contract Administration: Generate and manage venue contracts and invoicing, ensuring seamless event execution.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate client and venue bookings databases, ensuring up-to-date information.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports on bookings, data analysis, venue sales, and industry trends.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all events run smoothly and meet client expectations.
- Proven experience in a similar role, including live events, venue programming, or contract management.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and negotiation.
- Experience in theatre or performing arts is highly advantageous.
- Excellent relationship management skills with outstanding written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in venue management software such as Ungerboeck, Elite, or TM1, alongside Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive, adaptable approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
