Mō te tūranga | About the role
We have several opportunities available for House Officers who are seeking a Southern lifestyle. Teaching and training are important to us here in Dunedin, and that is why our RMOs have a protected session every week. In addition, there are several other regular activities that House Officers can join in on, including regular House Officer Education sessions, journal clubs, X-ray meetings, and rounds from various services.Available Runs
Depending on your interest, we have several runs available for you to work in, including:- Medical Oncology
- ENT
- Ophthalmology / Neurology
- Haematology
- Respiratory
- Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Cardiology
- Orthopaedics
- Renal
- General Surgery (including Urology and Vascular)
- ED
Minimum Requirements
We are interested in hearing from RMOs who have a minimum of one year post-graduate medical experience and are eligible for, or already hold, registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand and be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Candidates who are not currently registered with the New Zealand Medical Council should be aware that it is a requirement of the NZ Medical Council that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.Benefits

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association & Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Collective Agreement (NZRDA MECA) and the Speciality Trainees of New Zealand and Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand RMO Collective Agreement (the SToNZ MECA).
