Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role We have exciting, newly created opportunities for Strategic Procurement Leads to influence key business decisions and enhance procurement performance across ACC. As a Strategic Procurement Lead, you'll lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Your team will deliver trusted, timely, relevant, insightful, and comprehensive procurement advice and support to one of the following portfolios: Injury Prevention, Health or Corporate & IT. You'll build strong relationships with ACC's enterprise leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes, taking a critical thinking and continuous improvement approach. You'll work closely with other Strategic Procurement Leads to provide strategic direction to your team and drive consistency across Enterprise Procurement. Strategic Procurement Leads ensure that all procurement activity within the portfolio is consistent with Government Procurement Rules, principles, and ACC policy. Cultural leadership is important to us - you'll be working to embed ACC's Ngā Pae Ārahi principles into all aspects of procurement, actively contributing to our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our enterprise strategy, Huakina Te Rā. These are permanent, Wellington-based roles. The base salary range is $138,301 - $195,248 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. Mōu | About you We'd love to see your application if you bring the following:- People leadership skills with the ability to drive performance in a collaborative environment.
- Significant (minimum 8-10 years) procurement experience within a large, complex organisation.
- Innovative problem solving - the ability to analyse complex issues and develop creative, pragmatic solutions.
- Influential leadership - a strong team player and the ability to collaborate and contribute to a functional leadership team.
- Strong communication skills - ability to articulate key messages clearly and concisely.
- Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Government Procurement Rules.
- Proven ability to integrate the application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into procurement policies, systems, and processes.
- Specific knowledge or expertise in an area relevant to one or more of the portfolios would be beneficial e.g. health and social procurement or corporate & IT procurement.
