Are you passionate about making a difference in a clinic environment and looking to step into a leadership role? This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Ashbourne team that will include GP and Out of Hours Emergency Critical Care. This will be a pivotal role that ensures our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently around the clock, 7 days a week. Previous experience as a Veterinary Nurse is essential so clinical support cover can be provided when needed. Flexibility around shift patterns will be required to facilitate coverage of our 24-hour hospital. Why This Role is Special: As a Hospital Manager, you will work closely with our clinic leaders to lead and manage the clinic. Your role is crucial in providing our clinical and support teams with the resources, facilities, and processes they need to deliver top-notch clinical care and exceptional client experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for Village Vets, demonstrating the values and principles of the company both internally and externally.
- Ensure our overnight service operates efficiently and provides optimal clinical care at all times.
- Provide support for patient transfers and ensure the process runs smoothly maintaining exceptional patient care.
- Support the relationship between the GP clinic and the overnight service to ensure they work together as one team enabling high quality work and patient care.
- Lead the support teams within the practice with a positive mindset, providing coaching and mentoring support to direct reports, building positive relationships to ensure consistent GP and emergency care.
- Understand the annual business plan for the clinic working with the leadership team and business partner functions to support on its delivery.
- Be available to provide clinical support or cover to the team when required.
- Coordinate and facilitate communications within and across the practice team, including governance of meetings.
- Ensure an exceptional client experience is delivered focusing on access to care and resolving client complaints.
- Promote preventative healthcare to all clients to facilitate the highest level of patient care.
- Understand the protocol for client debt, support in billing compliance and payment, in order to minimise debt.
- Lead on stock management to ensure costs are controlled in line with the business plan, and clinical quality is paramount.
- Support the team leaders on delivering the annual employee engagement plan.
- Level 7 Qualification or the equivalent.
- Veterinary/Nursing Qualification.
- VCI Registration.
- Cert holder in surgery or emergency medicine.
- Further qualification in Finance or HR.
- A minimum of 5 years nursing experience in small animal care.
- Previous leadership experience within the Veterinary/Human Health industries.
- Experience in large team management in a service industry.
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands.
- Excellent time management with an ability to deliver to deadlines and within budget.
- Strong emotional intelligence.

- Do you have previous experience working in an ECC clinic?
- Veterinary Nursing: 5 years (preferred).
- Ireland (required).
