We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Cost Manager to join our client, a leading consultancy specialising in residential projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take the lead on high-profile residential developments, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans, ensuring accuracy and feasibility in line with client requirements.
- Procurement: Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs, conduct regular cost reporting, and ensure effective cost control measures are in place.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, providing strategic advice to stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. RICS membership preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in residential projects.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in cost management software and tools.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, law, and regulations specific to residential projects.
