Job ID: 984 Job Function: Medical Institution: National University Hospital The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), National University Hospital is seeking candidates for the position of Resident Physician in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care. The department of CTVS provides a wide range of specialized services including Aortic, Endoscopic (MICS), Anaortic bypass, Uniport VATS, Wire skills (Vascular), Simulation training programs, and Research exposure in a top medical center of excellence and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, one of Asia’s best medical education and research institutions. The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit caters to cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients in addition to offering quarternary ECMO services island wide. The Resident Physician would be part of the multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, assisting in invasive and non-invasive investigations or procedures. The Resident Physician would also assist in all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including day-to-day ICU ward rounds and on-call duties. The candidate will have the opportunity to equip themselves with specialized knowledge and skills, along with a discussed and well-planned development plan and roadmap. Our vast academic and clinical network can be further utilized as a stepping stone for exposure and growth in all three areas of academic life (Clinical – Research – Education). Job Requirements Eligible for Conditional Medical Registration with Singapore Medical Council Minimum 5 years of work experience in Anaesthesia or Intensive Care Basic Medical Degree and Postgraduate Medical qualification(s) in Anaesthesia or Intensive Care Medicine, recognized by the Singapore Medical Council Prior work experience in an acute hospital setting Keen interest and/or credentials in research would be an advantage Good oral and written communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
