Overview of the role: The Security System Engineer works under a project manager's supervision, the Operations Head. The assigned person carries out the project activities as outlined. Leading the implementation team in delivering the site supervision of the implementation of a pre-defined design encompassing IT, ELV, and AV infrastructure projects and assisting the project manager, working along with various internal & external project stakeholders in delivering the multiple projects until handover. The Security System Engineer focuses on implementing a previously designed system at the customer location, under the direction of the Project Manager, based on the contract. Has a supervisory role over the project onsite team, as dictated by the project and scope. What you will do:- Perform basic and detailed implementation of an ELV project at the customer's location.
- Plan the work and efficiently organize site facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day site activities, including supervising and monitoring the internal & outsourced site workforce.
- Liaise, coordinate, and conduct site visits, meetings with clients, subcontractors, planners, QS, consultants, authorities, and other departments/entities as needed to ensure timely & integrated execution of projects.
- Review, provide input & manage project documentation throughout the project life cycle, including all correspondences, submittals, drawings, method statements, inspection documentation, O&M manuals, etc. Ensure a safe archive of project data at all times.
- Validate & check design plans, drawings, quantities, and calculation accuracy to ensure design compatibility during construction work.
- Participate in design review meetings and workshops, providing input where possible, and coordinating with relevant teams for change management.
- Guide Designer/Draftsman in preparing shop drawings, cable routing plans, installation drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedules, etc. as needed for the project.
- Act as the technical adviser, providing guidance and advice to the installation & commissioning team, subcontractors, and operatives. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Ensure that the implementation complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards—adherence to the Corporate and Project Quality & H&S Management Systems.
- Manage inventory; liaise with the relevant team for material delivery to the site and maintain orderly records of issued & balance materials.
- Participate & supervise testing & commissioning activities.
- Generate variations and new requirements at the project site and coordinate with the sales/presales department to submit proposals.
- Report project status to line manager for site progress and encountered problems for assistance and guidance.
- Assist in the estimation, preparation & submission of project claims.

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (IT/Communication/Electricals/Engineering/Similar).
- Proficiency in using MS Office.
- UAE Driving License.
- Security system certifications.
- SIRA Certification.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in ELV project implementation, including Structured cabling, ICT, ELV, Security, AV, etc.
- Hands-on experience in installation/construction activities and worked in the construction environment.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning various ICT/ELV/AV systems.
- Technical training/certifications in leading ICT/ELV/AV Systems.
- Expert knowledge of ICT/ELV/AV industry standards, practices, techniques, procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Possess knowledge of QS & QC processes.
- Good knowledge of networks, Installation, T&C & ICT/ELV/AV system integration.
- Experience in basic network implementation, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
