Area Sales Manager (Clinical Diagnostics)
The Area Sales Manager for the Clinical Diagnostics team will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales executives. This role involves developing and executing strategies, coaching and mentoring a sales team, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for our clinical diagnostics product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the clinical diagnostics market, and a proven ability to drive business growth. You will play an important role in:- Lead, manage and motivate a team of sales executives to achieve and exceed sales targets for the clinical diagnostics product portfolio.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth and market share.
- Conduct regular field visits with the sales team to support sales efforts, provide coaching, and ensure consistent execution of sales strategies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with marketing.
- Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations, providing insights and recommendations based on market dynamics and team performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging professional development and continuous improvement.
- Minimum a bachelor's degree in science, Biology, Biomedical, Biotechnology or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years of experience in managing a team.
- Strong understanding of the clinical diagnostics market, including products, customers, and competitors.
- Fluent in verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Own a valid driving license and a car.
- Willing to travel extensively.
