Through our global events, our aim is simple: to accelerate business through face-to-face events, creating opportunities for networking, learning, and doing business. dmg events is part of the Daily Mail Group Trust (DMGT), which manages a diverse, multinational portfolio of companies with total revenues of £2bn, providing businesses and consumers with compelling information, analysis, insight, events, news, and entertainment. Job Purpose & Context: To design and deliver successful marketing campaigns for exhibitions, conferences, awards, and digital products in line with agreed KPIs. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and implement an integrated marketing strategy for the construction portfolio (including exhibitor, conference, and visitor campaigns, as well as special events).
- Use the full marketing mix to promote the exhibition and workshops by the marketing strategy and overall business objectives.
- Identify the target universe and key segments within the target universe.
- Develop personas, value propositions, and messaging for each of the key segments.
- Develop and deliver a Content Calendar through relevant channels (email marketing, social media, digital marketing, etc.).
- Ensure show websites are fully up to date with the latest information in accordance to the campaign cycle.
- Strategic database build.
- Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered to.
- Use all media tools such as social platforms, and explore new marketing channels.
- Copywrite and proof all marketing materials (in conjunction with Exhibition Director/SMM if needed) in line with the content calendar and messaging.
- Update and adhere to agreed marketing budget.
- Analyse previous marketing campaigns and KPIs to execute targeted data/campaign selections.
- Analyse and report trends over time and use these insights to build more effective campaigns.
- Monitor campaign performance, produce relevant and timely reports, and recommend changes to campaign execution based on data insights.
- Monitor and adjust digital marketing activity based on performance metrics.
- Use GA & Power BI (and other analytics dashboards if needed) to monitor & report campaign performance.
- Envision and copywrite marketing materials in line with the content calendar and messaging.
- Coordinate the design and production of all marketing materials required to deliver the events.
- Support show teams with market research and collaterals needed to pitch and manage strategic partnerships at government and private sector levels.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in exhibitions marketing is a must.
- Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business and events.
- Experience with the following tools is a plus: Adestra, PowerBI, SalesForce, Google Analytics, social media business manager suites.
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in 360 marketing and measurement.
- BSc/MSc degree in Marketing or related field.
