Night Manager, Front Office Job Description

The Night Manager is responsible for leading the overnight Front Office operations and ensuring consistent, luxury service is provided to Raffles Al Areen Palace guests at every interaction point. This critical role involves representing the hotel management overnight and overseeing Front Office Operations. The Night Manager will work closely with the Front Office Manager to execute departmental goals, including colleague engagement, guest satisfaction, loyalty program enrollment and management, and upsell revenues.

Main Responsibilities:

• Represents the hotel management overnight and is responsible for Front Office Operations.
• Assists the Front Office Manager in executing departmental goals.
• Ensures the Night Audit balances and verifies the summary of dialing transactions in the hotel.
• Determines guest relocation for nights when overcapacity and ensures a smooth relocation process.
• Takes emergency calls and provides operational support areas to ensure excellent customer service.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures and reports potential safety issues to the manager.
• Leads and coaches colleagues to provide luxury guest service.
• Serves as the first point of contact for escalations and resolves guest concerns in an urgent manner.
• Acts as a resource and support to all departments to ensure a smooth overall operation of the hotel.
• Develops and implements an upsell incentive program to motivate employees and maximize hotel revenue.
• Manages, trains, develops, and motivates colleagues reporting to this position.
• Provides assistance with blocking/inventory management.
• Meets and greets VIPs, escorts them to their room, and follows up on their comfort during their stay.
• Supports the creation of a culture that achieves superior colleague satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a night shift capacity.
• Relevant industry study Post graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Valid First aid certificate.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and front office systems.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Full driver's license essential.
