Production Manager - FRP

Job Objective: The value stream leader is a lean manufacturing professional with expertise in production flow. The VS leader ensures the reduction of wastes in the production system, understands the flow in terms of pull (through kanbans), continuous flow, min-max supermarkets (where necessary), and FIFO (for specific processes). The VS leader pulls or flows the moulds and panels through the manufacturing processes. The key measure of the value stream is to adherence to the defined Cycle Time. Key responsibilities and duties:

• Ensure the production flow by elimination of production wastes and achieve the defined cycle time.
• Implementing the production planning by controlling flow through movers. These movers will be responsible to move moulds, panels, kit materials and issue materials to the production process
• Time and motion study to reduce cycle time and reduce/ eliminate wastes.
• Liaise closely with Quality Gates for inspection and actions for defects on produced component / assembly produced.
• Participate in daily production meeting.
• Ensure that all workers use the personal protective equipment as per requirement. Ensure safety handling and storage of products to avoid any damages.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Expertise in Production flow, cycle time
• Knowledge of Kaban, Min Max, FIFO and FEFO
• Decision Making.

• Industrial engineer (graduate engineer)
• Automotive or light engineering industry
