Job Summary: Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing and creating a variety of baked goods, desserts, and other pastry products. They oversee all pastry production, ensuring excellent quality, creativity, and presentation while maintaining kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, and food safety standards. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all products are prepared in line with recipes and quality standards.
- Decorate and present desserts and pastries attractively.
- Work with the head chef or management team to design menus for special events, seasonal offerings, or new product launches.
- Monitor the quality of baked goods to ensure consistency and excellence in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of pastries, ensuring consistency and excellence in every product served.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Manage inventory and ordering of pastry ingredients, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available while minimizing waste.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume catering, hotels, bakery, or fine dining restaurant environment.
- Formal training in pastry arts, culinary arts, or a related field (certificate or degree).
- Advanced knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert preparation.
- Certification in Food safety / HACCP.
- Ability to work efficiently, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong team management skills and experience supervising staff.
