Superintendent Coatings Insulation Fire Protection & Scaffolding
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrates visible safety leadership and care for people.
- Act as the Company focal point for Coatings Insulation, Fire Protection and Scaffolding matters including approval of related documents submitted by Contractor.
- Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.
- Apply contractual awareness protecting the Company position when engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.
- Establish and maintain relationships, communications with contractor and company functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).
- Coordination of all CPY support function ensuring safe and efficient delivery in line with the construction schedule.
- Ensuring contractors ongoing competency processes and procedures are compliant to Company requirements and Qatar government regulations.
- Review and recommend improvements to ways of working, procedures and plans ensuring effective and smooth project execution.
- Participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews identifying improvement opportunities with contractor team.
- Understand the Advanced Work Pack process, confirming alignment with path of construction review progress identifying constraints and mitigations.
- Attend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations and improvements via the Advanced work pacing process.
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming safety standards are maintained.
- Undertakes daily walk-through of construction areas, confirming efficiency of the work and compliance with the planned daily activities and overall construction schedule.
- Perform surveillance inspection and audits on the Contractors Coatings Insulation and fire protection equipment verifies its condition and validity.
- Review, approve and audit as required Contractors Coatings Insulation, fire protection and scaffolding plans, procedures, method statement, PTW and task instructions.
- Attends onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.
- Review of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analyzing performance and verifying progress and status.
- Develops and issues CPY daily and weekly reports as directed by Line Manager.
- Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline and/or recognized industry trade qualifications e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds, NACE, CITB/CISRS etc. Valid certifications issued by Internationally Recognized bodies.
- More than (10) years proven experience within Client organization.
- Minimum of 15 years supervisory experience in Coatings, Insulation, fire Protection and scaffolding.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in Coatings Insulation, fire protection and scaffolding.
- Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills organizational.
- Ability to read and translate approved for construction drawings.
- Ability to use (Read) Navis works (3D model).
- Ability to prepare, approve, verify coating, insulation, fire protection and scaffolding plans.
- Ability to work within document control systems reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.
- IT literacy: Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing and communication requirements.
- Ability to read and translate primavera schedules.
- Ability to work within advanced work packing and completions systems.
