Our Senior Risk Managers offer risk management leadership advice to a wide range of Kiwibank stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the wider risk team and be their trusted advisor and thought leader. We want you to be part of the team taking our risk transformation journey to the next level. This role will lead our Operations squad, which includes our Enterprise Operations function, Transformation programme, and Strategy team. There will be more than spreadsheets and risk registers in this role; this is about bringing risk management to life! As well as sharing results with the Executive team and Leadership teams, you'll be part of the team creating a world-class line one risk function that is modern and proactive, positioning Kiwibank for the future of banking. As a people person and curious individual, you will work to modernise Kiwibank's risk and control maturity to prepare it for the future. In designing controls for the future, you are already thinking about modern risks and mitigations. This is us. Where your expertise matters. As a senior risk leader, you know how to make risk interesting and engaging. Your approach to risk and experience in engaging others in risk management and being a thought leader are the main things we are looking for, but if you have some or all of the below, that’s great too:

• A leader known for fostering a supportive and inspirational environment, operating with a growth mindset.
• Demonstrate experience in developing and leading high performing teams.
• Significant knowledge of legislation such as CCCFA, Financial Advisors Act, Privacy Act, FMCA and BS11 - although we know you might not know them all.
• Experience with managing digital and automation risk or transformation/change risk.
• Experience implementing regulatory change, and operational risk strategy and procedures at an enterprise level.
• Confidence in presenting information to groups and coaching stakeholders.
• Coaching and supporting the business units we support to effectively manage their risks.
