SENIOR PURCHASING EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Purchasing Manager to plan, execute, direct and coordinate the purchasing activities involved in purchasing construction materials, parts & equipment, products or services according to project plan.
• Continuously strive for improvement in lead times, minimum order size, reduction of purchase costs and improvement in product quality from suppliers.
• Responsible for negotiating the best purchasing package (in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service) with suppliers and subcontractors assigned.
• Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the SAP system.
• Support in developing and implementing procurement procedures & policies.
• Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers.
• Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
• Monitor and execute all regular purchasing duties.
• Maintain procurement files and records timely.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of direct purchasing experience in the construction field.
• Track and analyze building material market prices.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential.
• Proactive, dynamic, and meticulous with excellent analytical abilities.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure and delivering results.
• Willing to work in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
