Introduction

Responsible for the efficient and accurate end to end processing of cash in compliance with policies and procedures (SOPs).

Duties & Responsibilities

A Cash Processor may perform any one and/or a combination of the functions below:

• Receive Cash deposits and update on the relevant systems, adhering to all policies and procedures to minimise risk to the organisation.
• Quality check all cash bags/containers and acknowledge receipt on the appropriate system.
• Sort all deposits within the cut off times.
• Reconcile all rejected notes for validation, perform vault transfers and end of day balancing. Process all deposits separately per customer, perform required security checks/validations and acknowledge the transaction on the appropriate system.
• Process bulk coin deposits according to procedures.
• Validate all transactions per bank, escalate any anomalies immediately.
• Process all payroll and change transactions timeously and escalate all discrepancies to the Team Controller.
• Assist with accurate packing and unpacking of Bank and ATM cash.
• Use all equipment as per the standard operating procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 6 months cashier/teller experience is advantageous.
• Grade 12 ideally with Maths Literacy.
• Computer Literate (MS Office).
• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Must have a clear credit and criminal record.
