Job Purpose The Inventory Cost Accountant will manage all aspects of cost accounting and inventory control for the company. This role involves ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and monitoring of cost performance against budgets. The individual will work closely with the accounts team, production departments, and management to provide insightful financial data for decision-making and operational efficiency, with a specific focus on slow-moving inventory and stock aging. Skills & Qualifications Essential:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in costing, inventory management, or financial accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based industry.
  4. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and inventory management practices.
  5. Experience with slow-moving inventory and stock aging analysis.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Infor, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel (advanced level).
  7. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  8. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different departments.
  9. Knowledge of financial regulations and industry-specific compliance requirements.
