Alexander Ash are seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join our team and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of a network infrastructure project. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of network infrastructure activities.
- Coordinate technical aspects of the project with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor progress against project timelines and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with network engineers, architects, and IT teams to ensure technical requirements are clearly defined and met.
- Ensure proper documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes.
- Manage vendor relationships, including coordinating deliveries, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and escalate issues to the appropriate teams for resolution.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential delays or technical challenges.
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet required standards and comply with organizational policies.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure successful handover of completed work to operations teams.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
- Provide regular updates and presentations to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to network security, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to network infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in coordinating or managing technical projects, particularly in network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, and other network components.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
- Basic knowledge of network design principles and configurations.
- Proficiency in tools like MS Project, JIRA, or similar project management software.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- ITIL Foundation
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2
