We have an exciting opportunity for you as Bakery Cook to join our enthusiastic pre-opening team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina. As a Bakery Cook, you are responsible for providing professional and customer-focused service to our guests, ensuring that dining in our outlets will become a memorable experience. The role involves leading the operations of the Pastry Kitchen and will include key responsibilities such as:

  1. Take full responsibility for the bakery kitchen section.
  2. Create high-quality and creative bakery products.
  3. Follow the instructions and recommendations from the Executive Sous Chef to complete the daily tasks.
  4. Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with new bakery recipes and preparation techniques.
  5. Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in bakery setup of buffets and special functions.
  6. Coordinate and participate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
  7. Consult and check on daily bakery requirements, functions, and last-minute events.
  8. Ensure high standards of hygiene within the bakery kitchen.
The ideal candidate must have 3 to 5 years of progressive work-related experience in the same role in a 5-star city hotel in Dubai and have strong capabilities in handling multiple tasks, organization, detail orientation, and understanding of HACCP. A proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, labor, and waste to meet the food quality goals and the hotel’s financial goals is essential. Must promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations, be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team.
