Python Quant Developer - Leading Hedge Fund - Hong Kong

Our client, a quantitative hedge fund, is actively hiring a junior quantitative developer to join their expanding team. The role:

• Developing and maintaining software systems that facilitate and monitor trading activity, risk management, trade settlements, reconciliations, and other operational activities.
• Design, implement, test, optimize and troubleshoot Python data applications, frameworks, and services.
• Collaborate closely with the front office quantitative researchers.
• Acquire a deep understanding of the data requirements of investment research teams to deliver the right solutions.
• Developing automated reporting and analytics tools to help identify and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.
• Ensuring the data quality and accuracy of all back office data feeds and transaction processing systems.
• Regularly take the lead on production support operations - during normal working hours only.
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise in the trading platform's back office operational processes.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject.
• Strong skills programming in Python in a Data Engineering context (databases, data integration and data visualization technologies.).
• Familiar with Linux and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Web frontend technologies is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve operational issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
