Bachelors in Computer Application, Bachelor of Technology/Engineering, Bachelor of Science Nationality: Any Nationality Vacancy: 1 Vacancy Job Title: Senior IT Applications Analyst / Contract for 6 months Division/Department/Section: Corporate Services / Information Technology / IT Applications Reports to: IT Applications Manager Job Purpose:
- The role of the Senior Applications Analyst is to study and execute software requirements in ZAPIA to fulfill business objectives.
- The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for the requirements gathering and assures that software project deliverables and other work are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- The role also involves troubleshooting applications to ensure end user satisfaction.
- Able to implement software development life cycle tools and techniques to ensure applications are delivered to excellent standards.
- Ability to evaluate progress at every cycle and suggest workarounds for obstacles.
- Possesses excellent skills in the areas of application programming, database, and system design.
- Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems and performing other related procedures.
- Identifies requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and with other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Ensures project requirements are clear and finalized by preparing a workflow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
- Transforms the requirements into usable application by designing the database and encoding.
- Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
- Writing and maintaining technical and user documentation.
- Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application on clients.
