Lead Pipeline Designer

Wood is currently looking for a Lead Pipeline Designer to join our In-house Engineering team in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
Primary Role:- To promote safe behavior at all times
- To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
- To coordinate with other disciplines for interdisciplinary checks
- Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of engineering
- To prepare pipeline route studies, desktop studies based on survey inputs
- To prepare Pipeline Overall Route Maps, Key Plans, Alignment Sheets, Station Approach drawings Alignment sheets, pipeline typical construction drawings, etc. in accordance with project specifications, international cods & standards
- Preparation of Pipeline Detail / Bulk MTO
- To carry out detailed high quality site visits, pipeline route surveys and associated data collection
- To compile site visit/route survey report as required
- To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of pipeline design/drawings development
- To provide technical support to site as required
- Familiarity with key pipeline design codes and standards
- Preparation of Piping input Drawings for On-plot / off-plot interface Areas at Process Plant
- Coordination with Topographical Contractors and Site personnel for preparation of AFC Alignment sheets
- Must be eligible and willing to make occasional visits to Basra, Iraq.
Qualifications
Educational Attainments:- Diploma or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant subject)
- Minimum of 15 years relevant Pipeline Designing experience
- Last 15 years hands-on smartplant 3D.
- Experience in FEED, Brownfield, Upstream Oil
- PDS / PDMS experience required.
- Experience in Site Survey Activities and techniques.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
