Senior Specialist - Technical Support Section

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  1. A. Strategy and Planning
    • Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, and standard forms, ensuring alignment with ADAA’s overall policies and procedures.
    • Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section’s strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the department and sector’s strategy and objectives, and ADAA’s mission and vision.
    • Ensure to meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  2. B. Operations
    • Provide technical support for challenges associated with software, applications, and systems, offering recommendations and solutions to resolve issues.
    • Carry out preventive maintenance of end-user technical devices and equipment regularly and upon request to ensure operability.
    • Monitor and replace technical assets as required in accordance with ADAA’s policies.
    • Install operating systems, software, and applications on devices and equipment and update them for sustainability.
    • Analyze requests/reports received at the technical support platform, monitor common requests/reports, prepare documentation, and recommend solutions.
    • Update and amend module functionality to ensure ADAA applications meet user information requirements and reflect business processes.
    • Conduct testing of technical configurations to meet users’ information requirements.
    • Conduct pilot testing of technical module configurations on end-user systems and devices.
    • Maintain knowledge of technical developments and configurations from various systems.
    • Provide effective first-line interface with users seeking IT support, recording and tracking requests, incidents, and complaints.
    • Identify internal end-user and external stakeholders’ requirements for technical support.
    • Analyze incident records and classify incidents, matching against known errors and problems.
    • Maintain logs for rapid response/resolution for major incidents.
    • Assist users with systems, products, and services available to them.
    • Assist in coordinating external technical support as needed.
    • Prepare instruction manuals and guides for IT Help Desk processes.
    • Monitor documentation of supported systems and software and provide feedback on outdated documentation.
    • Track and monitor IT assets (hardware & software) to maintain inventory.
  3. C. Talent Management and Development
    • Ensure completion of required trainings and certification programs.
    • Obtain timely performance review assessments and meet set KPIs.
    • Keep current with updated information relevant to the role.
    • Contribute to knowledge sharing to build internal capabilities of the team.
    • Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the Authority's Emiratization strategy.
  4. D. Corporate
    • Ensure adherence to all ADAA corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Prepare section-related correspondence to ensure professionalism and accuracy.
    • Retain, document, preserve, and archive section-related records in accordance with policies.
    • Respond to section-related queries and provide required support.
    • Utilize relevant technologies within ADAA to optimize work efficiency.
    • Demonstrate compliance with ADAA’s values and Code of Business Conduct.
    • Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to the preparation and submission of timely and accurate statements and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Technical Support or equivalent work experience.
