Position Overview:The Financial Analyst will support the finance team in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent numerical skills, and a good understanding of retail finance operations, including inventory management and expense control.Key Responsibilities:Financial Analysis:Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance improvement opportunities.Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.Collaborate with the finance team to provide insights on key financial metrics.Budgeting and Forecasting:Help prepare budgets and financial forecasts by gathering and analyzing relevant data.Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.Assist in creating detailed financial models to support business decisions.Inventory and Cost Analysis:Analyze inventory-related financial data to ensure proper stock control and minimize losses.Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to assess cost efficiency and margins.Support the team in maintaining accurate inventory valuation reports.Compliance and Documentation:Ensure all financial documents are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with internal policies and local regulations.Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance checks.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting efficiency.Support the implementation of new tools and systems for improved financial management.Reporting and Support:Assist in preparing presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.Provide administrative and analytical support to the finance team as needed.Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Experience:3-5 years of experience in General Accounting, preferably in the retail sector.Familiarity with inventory management processes is a plus.Skills:Strong analytical and numerical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Familiarity with financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Key Competencies:Detail-oriented and accurate in financial reporting.Proactive and eager to learn new financial tools and methodologies.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
