Social Worker - Clinical Advisor (P-2425-1281)

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION Person who handles activities associated with design, orientation, consultation, updating, analysis and evaluation activities in one or more psychosocial programs. SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS As clinical advisor, this person will provide clinical support and coaching, assess professional activities, and provide guidance and counselling to social workers, human relations officers, and community workers from one or more social programs within the communities. More specifically:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality of services;
• Develop clinical tools to support the clinical process;
• Conduct competencies assessment and provide recommendations;
• Proceed to caseloads overview;
• Participate in the hiring process;
• Select, create and facilitate relevant workshops;
• Offer clinical support and guidance;
• Offer orientation sessions for new employees;
• Facilitate group case discussion;
• Ensure the liaison between local and regional services

REQUIREMENTS Education: * University degree in social work;* Member of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux et de thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec. Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in various fields and programs.

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Good understanding of psychosocial issues;
• Ability to apply Eeyou/Eenou culture, values traditions and teachings into programs and services where possible;
• Ability in the identification and analysis of the professional's needs;
• Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge as applied to coaching and training;
• Ability to facilitate group case discussions;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Autonomous, discrete and empathetic; Teamwork capabilities. LANGUAGE
• Fluent in English;
• Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
