Pastry Chef 4* Hotel Cork

We are currently recruiting an experienced Pastry Chef for a busy 4* hotel in Cork. The ideal candidate will require 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a 4/5* hotel with an excellent food reputation, substantial event business, and recognized high standards. Personal Qualities:
- Be motivated and able to work alone or in a team with good personal organization.
- Excellent hygiene and grooming standards.
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
- Help prepare and produce all dishes on-site to a consistently high standard.
- Ensure all preparation of the pastry section is complete and ready for each service.
- Prepare, cook, and present all dishes to the correct menu specification regarding quality and quantity.
- Oversee services and ensure all dishes are presented to the required standard.
- Prepare and serve desserts for breakfast, conferences, bar food, bistro dinner, and functions from 30-300 guests.
- Follow any instructions given by the Health & Safety Manager and offer full support in the implementation of all necessary controls.
- Assist the Head Chef in maintaining quality of ingredients and suppliers.
- Assist in managing purchasing cycles and be aware of stock rotation issues.
- Ensure all agreed cleaning schedules are adhered to and HACCP guidelines and principles are followed.
