Expertise: Generalist HR, Chief Operations Officer, General Counsel, Chief People Officer, Policy, Compliance, Strategy & Planning, External Communications Our vision is to be the number one streamer for trusted news, sport, and entertainment, and we have a clear Digital + Strategy to support this vision. As part of our Executive team as Chief People & Corporate Officer, you will have responsibility for the development and successful delivery of this strategy. There are three strategic pillars the business is focused on achieving:
- Audiences - Deliver exceptional, digital-led content and experience for our viewers
- Revenue - Be the preferred digital platform for NZ advertisers
- Future Business - Realign our operating and cost models with a digital-first focus.
- Leading the development of the People Strategy for TVNZ and overseeing the People and Culture function, including the transformation change plan to support TVNZ's digital-first culture.
- Overseeing the delivery of appropriate and up-to-date legal advice and managing the legal risk of TVNZ.
- Overseeing the development of Corporate Affairs along with the internal and external Communications strategy.
- Ownership of the development of TVNZ's Government Relations strategy alongside the CEO and Board.
- Supporting the negotiations (non-revenue contracts) and business affairs strategy and execution plan.
- Leading TVNZ's enterprise business operations (including premises, facilities, business continuity, and shared operational services) to improve output and productivity and reduce the cost of operations.
- Excellent Business Partnering and coaching skills, with experience partnering with CEOs and Executive teams to drive strategic business outcomes.
- The ability to operate and lead transformative progress at pace and the ability to openly engage with and collaborate with all parts of TVNZ's business to our Digital + Strategy.
- Strong planning and organizing skills - able to deliver accurate results to deadlines.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to think laterally.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, including verbal communication, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in an environment of competing interests and limited resources.
- Proven leadership skills at an Executive team and demonstrated ability in leading large complex teams.
- Operational experience in or knowledge of at least two of these areas: Legal, Corporate Affairs, People & Culture, and Operational Business Areas.
